A Magento 2 webshop directly integrated with KING Software ERP and Plytix PIM system. Additionally, an app has been developed for both Android and Apple, allowing for quick ordering or quoting.
In August, TTP Concepts from Berkel-Enschot celebrates its 20th anniversary. The company was founded and successfully established by the true entrepreneur Theo Rietbergen. Starting with a modest range of waste bins, it quickly grew into a major supplier for retailers such as de Bijenkorf, offering high-quality brands like Joseph Joseph, Eva Solo, simplehuman, and even Lego.
Sjoerd van der Burg laughs and says, ‘In recent years, we have become much more diverse.'” Sjoerd, who has been with TTP Concepts for over 10 years, started as an account manager and is now responsible for all software within the company as an application manager. Sjoerd had to get used to Magento: “It’s a complex system that can be simplified, but nothing is simple for us. So, the setup of our Magento store is no exception; we use the system to its fullest extent.” Sjoerd points to the integration with Plytix: “We have connected our ERP to Plytix, our PIM system, and Plytix fully synchronizes with Magento. For price and stock synchronization, there is a direct connection with the ERP.
Sjoerd smiles when we ask why the webshop doesn’t have a standard design: “Everything with us has to be at Champions League level. You can see this in our showroom, which is of high quality, but it applies to everything: the canteen, software, cars, our presentation at trade shows, and of course the webshop. Everything is top-class.” Therefore, TTP Concepts did not opt for a standard webshop design; everything is visually oriented, with extensive photography and ambiance images that convey the same atmosphere as the showroom. “Mark (the designer, from Batavo) even came by for a day to sense what we were looking for. He always knows exactly how to hit the right note.”
TTP Concepts proves that everything works a little differently with the development of their own app. “Theo had cherished this wish for a long time. At some point, I brought this wish to Roy, and we started thinking about the possibilities,” says Sjoerd. Thus, a lightweight app was created, leveraging the computational power and functionalities of Magento to keep costs low. “This app is a fantastic addition. You can scan any barcode with your phone and go directly to our assortment. Visitors to our showroom walk around, scan a product, and immediately add it to their order or, for new visitors, to their quote.”
“Our quotation system is much more than a simple quote. Besides looking great and working quickly, we can, for example, suggest assortments and create order lists,” Sjoerd proudly says. “Since we synchronize not only product prices but also customer-specific prices, each debtor immediately has their own prices. We can therefore create customized proposals with 400 lines within 2 minutes.”
“The reactions to our new platform were very nice to hear. Our customers appreciate that we are committed to them,” Sjoerd explains, who thinks that tackling the website directly was a good choice: “We immediately addressed the website and had it built in the same Magento environment. As centralized as possible. We are already using various software, so we try to keep the online part as integrated as possible.”
Sjoerd is very satisfied with the collaboration: “We all worked hard on this result. It truly feels like a joint achievement. But I also realize that the work is not yet done,” Sjoerd refers to the monthly sprints they now perform: “We have agreed on a budget with Batavo to continue development on a monthly basis. We do this very purposefully, and it works very well. This keeps our focus constantly on the future.”
